Parto con Garibaldi

8cento APS, in collaboration with the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento in Bologna, promotes the second edition of the Historical Reenactment of the events that, starting from 1848 led to 1860, the year of the Expedition of the Thousand, when many volunteers left Bologna and in the city numerous charity initiatives were organized to support the Garibaldian enterprise.
160 years later, the places of that time become the theater of historical memory, according to an artistic, historical and cultural project, an expression of the history of the territory and of the Italian Risorgimento, remodeled following the health emergency in spring 2020.


With a calendar of 11 events, the "Parto con Garibaldi" commemoration is part of Bologna Summer 2020, the program of activities promoted and coordinated by the Comune of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna - Tourist Destination, and is part of the Emilia-Romagna Historical Reenactment calendar .
