BOLOGNA DA QUEL MOMENTO FU LIBERA - Episodes, aspects and memory of 12 June 1859

BOLOGNA DA QUEL MOMENTO FU LIBERA - BOLOGNA 1848-1859: Historical Reenactment

On 12 June 1859 the Austrian troops and Cardinal Legato left the city.
Within a few months, the whole Emilia-Romagna would join the constitutional monarchy of Vittorio Emanuele II, the future King of Italy.
In this way, the process of National Unification was carried out in Bologna for a few decades before, which had seen the day of greater glory in the battle of August 8, 1848.
The exhibition traces episodes and aspects of that memorable period, through the exhibition of memorabilia and original documents, normally not visible to the public.

With a simple smartphone and thanks to a QR code present in the different windows, you can access the portal www.storiaememoriadibologna.it and to the news and insights related to the various objects on display, this to fully appreciate its history and meaning.
